A Boy Named Sage

A few "BOY" names are actually girl names that are either just switching teams or have been girl names for a long, long time and just haven't fallen off of the boy name's list. Some of these names are just blatantly feminine, while others will be snapped up by the girls in no time. Once a name goes to the girl's team, there is no going back. Twenty years from now, names like Hayden and Jordan will be the replacements for the name Pat on the Saturday Night Live skit about an ambiguously gendered person named Pat. Parents of boys, please stop using the following names for your sons. They are not boy names. They are not masculine and firm. Please save you son from getting teased relentlessly by the girls in his class with the same name.

I like your blog...but don't see how Dylan is a girls name. I like it for my son. Also I spell my girls names different not because they are different names but because I want my girls all to have "ee" on the end.

seriously? i've never even heard of girls named 90 percent of those names. i would rather have my son be teased for having a name used on the proper gender than give my daughter a name devoid of femininity and follow a repulsive trend.

Thanks for the comment. Baby trends are so interesting to follow, aren't they.
