Inspired by the Brady Bunch episode where they all dress up in disco colors and sing and dance, a man named Triton made sure that his seven daughters practiced and performed their singing talents.
His daughters names are a good example of a trend that has long been seen in the baby naming world. This is a sibling set starring the letter A. This strategy of using same letter names worked out great for Triton when his daughters were performing a song about themselves at their recital.
ADELLA
ALLANA
ANDRINA
AQUATA
ARIEL
ARISTA
ATINA
One of his daughters got in trouble with a boy. She was sneaking out to see him and even bartered for an opportunity to hang out outside of his house in hopes that he would find her and that they could hang out.
Triton was gravely concerned about his daughter Ariel. What if all seven of his daughters were busy doing things both good and bad.
ATINA and AQUATA were both doing cheerleading three times a week and every other Saturday. ARISTA was working community service hours (thanks to getting caught in a ridiculously expansive toilet papering and egg incident) from three to six Monday through Wednesday and acting in a play every Thursday. ATINA, ADELLA, and ALLANA want to do the after school art program but ARIEL and ANDRINA wouldn't be able to join the water polo team at the community center if the other girls couldn't be there to take them across town.
This is a week in the life of Triton's family. He has a lot on his plate besides keeping track of seven names that are very similar. His lesson? If you are having seven children (or any number over two) think about how ofter you would be rattling off your tongue twister of children's names...when you are late, angry about a giant flour mess in the living room, and missing $15 and your daughter's guinea pig, Apple.
What's that? You have your heart set on somehow doing a matchy-matchy sib set but are willing to consider other options?
A) Take the lead from Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt and look for names that are in the same family. Their sons are Maddox, Pax, and Knox. You could find letters or sounds that are alike. Be careful, some of these combinations may result in rhyming.
HAILEY, PAISLEY, and CAILEY
KEVIN, GAVIN, and LAYTON
B) Alternative spelling is another option for parents looking to build a united sib set.
RYLEE, KADEE, and AUBREE
AYDAN, TYLAR, MYCAH
C) The butcher, the baker, and the candlestick maker - and you don't even have to put them in a tub at the same time.
ROWER, CROCKER, and HUNTER
TYLER, HARPER, and FABER
E) Oh where or where did my baby go? Oh where oh where can he be?
EASTON, WESTON, SOUTHTON, NORTHTON
EASTLYN, WESTLYN, SOUTHLYN, NORTHLYN
EASTELLA, WESTELLA, SOUTHELLA, NORTHELLA
F) Throw a dart at a map each time you see two lines.
BERLIN, VIENNA, and PARIS
ROME, MADRID, and SYDNEY
G) Can you guess the sib set theme here or are you wet behind the ears when it comes to making sibling sets?
BECK, GULF, and HARBOR
SPRING, WASH, and RIVER
H) These sib set names are good enough to eat.
CINNAMON, OREGANO, and CRUMBLE
BASIL, PEEL, and CHIVE
I) Call each of your children by a virtue you hope to instill.
